FFGC Club Programs Chairman,

Slides, videos, DVD’s and CD’s may be borrowed from FFGC Headquarters for CLUB PROGRAMS!
You may request a "Speaker's Directory" for a nominal fee of $1.50 which covers postage and handling. (Free if you pick it up at Headquarters) 

TO ORDER: Request material in writing at least 6 weeks prior to desired date of use. Include with request, 

                     borrower's name, street address and garden club name, and be sure to specify programs number, if
                    CD or DVD.

Cost: $4.00 if picked up at FFGC Headquarters or $8.00 if mailed to borrower. Make check or money order

         payable to FFGC and send with request to Headquarters.

NOTE: These programs require a projector, player or a computer to run them. Know your resources before

            requesting.

5. Water’s Journey: The River Returns  DVD Follow-up to “Waters Journey The Hidden Rivers Of Florida”, which is the first program of the series. (We have that one on VHS – other side) Wes Skiles, a seasoned camera man, cave diver, and explorer takes his team to the beautiful St Johns River in Florida to document and explore how the watershed from this river is being affected by pollution, using footage above and below water. “Classroom Version” is 30 minutes, there is also a one hour version on the DVD if you want more detail, “Full Length Version”. Bonus Programs: A. The 15-minute long "Developing A Better Way," featuring UF/IFAS extension specialist Mark Clark, visited a small residential development in Manatee County designed with environmentally friendly groundwater management techniques.   Also: B. 6. New Member Orientation  CD, Powerpoint. Made by Temple Terrace Garden Club, shows the basics of belonging to a garden club in a brief program about the organization and activities of a garden club.
7. Container Gardens for Florida by Pamela Crawford  30 Minutes DVD – Easy plants that give the Most Color in a Container, also Color Magic in Your Home.  The companion book may be available for purchase in our Shoppe.

9. Florida Springs by Jason Evans, University of Florida, CD Powerpoint.
Program one: 40 slides, Save Our Suwannee – Ichetucknee Springs- excess nutrients, algae and water lettuce.  Program two: 25 slides/photos – Saving Florida’s Springs – Conservation Challenges and what we can do. Easy to read summary of the plight of Florida’s Springs.
10. Camp Wekiva Orientation,  CD 11 Minutes  Entertaining description of a typical week at camp, narrated by kids who attended camp.  Lots of pictures of the camp and the campers.  Color Movie, entertaining and informative.
11. A Time to Remember – DVD – One Hour - Historical design program from 2009 FFGC Convention showing some key past presidents of FFGC and describing their contributions to the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs.
