FFGC- Florida Federation Gets Connected
Social media  is FUN - it's easy  to share  ideas, photos, advice, likes, dislikes and  information.    Think  of this as a computer billboard.   Emails can  only  reach  specified recipients.   Websites  have  lots  of  information, but  it takes  a lot  of clicks  to get  you  where  you  want  to  be.

FFGC has the  tools to  be connected.   We are using  Facebook  and  Twitter.  72% of American internet users  are on Facebook.  One billion tweets get posted  on Twitter every week.

On Facebook, we will get Friends. People looking for garden club programs, events, advice, flower shows, facility rental information, pictures, etc.

On Twitter, we will get Followers. People who sign up to receive our "tweet" - a short message of 140 characters or less. (Lots of people have tweets sent to their cell phone.)

Here's how we are going to do this:
1. Send your information by email to Kathie Smith

2. I t will be added to our Facebook and/or Twitter site: Facebook: FFGC Twitter: FlaGardenClubs

3. Check your information on the Facebook or Twitter site and let us know if you are dissatisfied and it will be adjusted to your satisfaction.

It's that easy. So, follow ffgc on Facebook and Twitter!!!

Our sites are OPEN sites. That means that anyone (friend or stranger) will be able to access the information. So, please do NOT send things that you don't want shared with the world. Only send information that you are comfortable with publicly releasing. A good rule of thumb is the "newspaper standard" - if you would send it to your newspaper for publication, it would work here too.
