HorticultureTina V. Tuttle-Chairman6755 Highway 99, Molino 32577-4048(850) 587-2361A bit of reorganization has
finally brought all aspects of Horticulture under one umbrella. Now, if
you have a question concerning Tropical Horticulture, Water Gardening,
Conservascaping, Improved Cultivars or Growing Fruits and Vegetables,
you need only contact the Horticulture Co-Chairman in your part
of our state. Florida is a very long and diverse state and soil
conditions, temperatures, rainfall and culture differ in each region.
So, we have divided the state into three regions: For those of you in
the south end, please contact Elaine Mills, 9735 SW 138th Street,
Miami, 33176-6723. If you live in the central part of the state,
contact Rene Kelley, 5111Lazy Oaks Drive, Winter Park, 32792-9271. And
Tina Tuttle will try to help you with answers for the northern part of
the state, including the panhandle (see contact information above).
Your horticulture chairmen are ready to assist you in any way in all
matters relating to Horticulture. Do you need ideas for a Horticulture
program? Do you need help determining if a plant will grow well in your
area? Do you need assistance in selecting plants for a water garden?
Please do not hesitate to call on the Horticulture committee to help
further your knowledge of the plant world.
