Our
Membership Team has put together a wonderful Power Point Presentation
for all of our members to enjoy. We are hoping that you will find
many
ways to use this material: have it running during a flower show,
a tea, a general meeting, home tour or other fund raiser. Take it
to your Home and Garden Shows. Its uses are limitless.

This is a
Power Point Presentation and the following are quidelines to getting
the most out of this information.
How to
view Power Point Presentations
Be sure to check the
notes
section of each slide where we have added text to help describe
content. This will help you interpret the slide. You are free to use
and edit any of these.
1. To open
PowerPoint presentations in Microsoft Office: click desired
topic, then click "save"
on "file download"
box. "Notes" will appear in Microsoft Office.
2. To
open PowerPoint presentations using your browser (if Powerpoint is not
installed on computer):
click
desired topic, then click "open" on "file
download" box. "Notes" will not appear on the browser.
Eligibility/Admission:
Independent Garden Clubs and
Circles shall have membership of no less
than 10 members.
Application:
Independent Garden Clubs and
new Garden Clubs organized on the Circle
plan submit application for membership to FFGC to the District Director
for presentation to the
FFGC Board of Directors. (Application

New Circles for existing
Garden Clubs on the Circle Plan submit
application to the "Mother" Club which will then advise FFGC.
All applications shall be
accompanied by per capita dues and an
alphabetical typewritten list of names and mailing addresses of all
officers and members.
Dues and
Fees:
The annual dues of each
independent Garden Club and each Garden Club
organized on the Circle Plan shall be $12.00 per capita on all
categories of members enrolled as of
June
1. Review the Book of Information, Bylaws-Article IV,
Dues & Fees, Section 1.
The following exceptions:
Annual dues of husband and
wife with membership in the same club shall
be $14.00 for a family membership.
Annual FFGC dues of a Life
Member including
multiple club memberships shall be exempt.
Dues shall be payable to
FFGC and remitted by June 1.
Dues of
members enrolled after June 1 are payable immediately.
Dues for
members of New Clubs accepted for membership during the Winter Board of
Directors meeting shall be $6.00 per capita for single members or $7.00
for a husband and wife.

within FFGC……MENTORING MEMBERS.

Concept: existing clubs, circles and councils
act as mentors to assist in forming new clubs and circles -
participating in the initial process of organizing to provide
procedural information,
FFGC objectives, program suggestions,
support etc. in an advisory capacity -

Purpose:
encourage garden club meeting concepts to meet specific membership
needs such as lunch bunch; couples; men; moms morning out; night
meetings; winter residents or Northern transplants –

complete packet available UPON REQUEST from Headquarters with all
information and materials necessary to become a Federated Garden Club

Sources:
public shows and programs; senior centers; new housing complexes and
communities; church groups, garden centers; large employers;
hospitals; malls; membership teas or
coffees; existing waiting list of club or circle
Mentoring club, circle or council in conjunction with the mentored club
or circle are eligible to apply for the MENTOR DISTINCTIVE SERVICE
CITATION to be presented at the 2011 FFGC Convention. This will
be at the conclusion of Carol Hall’s administration.
The Mentoring Club and Mentored Club will receive $ 75.00 each in
addition to the Mentor Distinctive Service Citations issued to the
mentored and mentoring groups.
Winner/s will be awarded based on an essay of minimum 1200 words and
maximum 1500 words. Both the Mentored and Mentoring group must
submit essay outlining the process used in establishing the new club or
circle. The minimum and maximum words used in the essay may be divided
as the Mentored and Mentoring group decide for the most effective
essay. BE SPECIFIC !!!!!!
Include sources, time frame and number of meetings to establish the new
club/circle. Provide all pertinent information for the program in
order that this format could be duplicated by others to mentor
new clubs/circles.
