Adopt-A-Park

Judy Greenberg, Chairman

Know – Investigate Adopt-A-Park programs in your community. A growing number of municipal and county governments have established programs to promote community involvement with the maintenance and beautification of neighborhood parks and recreational facilities. Knowing leads to Sowing!

Sow – Involve your club by Adopting a Park in your community. Put to practice the knowledge that you have as a garden club member. Your knowledge gained from NGC educational programs of landscape design, gardening, horticulture and environmental concerns can help save a park. Sowing leads to Growing!

Grow – Inspire others to Adopt-A- Park. Most Adopt-A-Park programs recognize participating organizations with signage posted in the adopted park. This recognition inspires others to also participate and thus strengthens the community. FFGC and NGC offer several awards related to civic and community involvement, so your club gets a double dose of recognition that inspires us all to Grow.
