Plant and care for Butterfly and Vegetable Gardens.  This continues to be popular with young children.  Some schools have applied for and received Grants to assist in developing gardens that can be continued year after year.  With each Grant, new things can be added to make a beautiful garden..

Adopt a SCHOOL GROUND in your community and establish a campus cleanup program in connection with Keep America Beautiful with some form of incentive for students who participate by helping to keep the campus clean.  Children and young people always enjoy competition and reward.

Continue to observe Arbor Days, both Florida and National, by planting trees.   There are are many trees that would really improve School Grounds and local County Agents have brochures that will suggest types, when to plant and the care of such trees in each area.
