The 2007-2009 FFGC President’s
theme is FOCUS ON FLORIDA. Let’s FOCUS ON FLORIDA by FOCUSING ON
TREES. Hurricanes have claimed many of our trees the last few
years so let’s FOCUS on replenishing them.
T
TREES
are treasurers; so let’s really FOCUS on them and how important they
are to our environment. They provide us with the oxygen
we need to breathe, help purify our water, provide food and shelter for
birds and wildlife, remove air and
noise pollutants, increase property value, prevent soil erosion, add
soil nutrients, provide wood for our homes,
furniture, and paper products, and provide shade which saves energy.
R RECORD AND REPORT all plantings, give a-ways, and sales on the TREE PLANTING RECORD which is in the President’s Kit.
