Learn from a pro! Al units are taught by Penny Decker, nGC Master Judge and Instructor. Penny Teaches and competes throughout the country and has represented the United States in international competition.
Line material, flowers and foliage are provided for the first 3 classes. Abundant Parking. Coffee and light snacks are provided Students bring own lunch.
Topics include: Our Unsung Beautiful Wetlands, Growing Edible Flowers, Native Milkweeds, Accenting your yard with Trees, Anonymous Attractors, Heirlooms to Grow & Eat, Stormy Waters, Capturing Nature with the phone in your pocket and He’s Not your Average Tweety Bird. Master Gardeners receive 10 CEUs.

Gardening School consists of four courses (2 days of instruction) followed by an exam. Courses cover all aspects of growing, from understanding soil structure to pruning techniques, plant identification,ect. Topics include basic botany, soils, growing perennials, pests, and diseases. Lunch will be provided.

Course 2 of Environmental School covers subjects such as Ecology, Agriculture,Source Reduction of Pollutants, Coastal Zone Management, and Gardening with Nature. A Nature Discovery Field Trip is also included. In all, 10 hours of instruction. These courses are a good resource in understanding today's environmental issue and how they affect individuals, communities, and the world.
