    Basic Floral Design Study is a six-unit series with the goal of developing an understanding of the art of flower arranging for both the home and flower shows. The Design units are taught by National Garden Club Master Judges and FFGC Floral Design Instructors. Each unit consists of a lecture and demonstration in the morning and student workshop in the afternoon when students create their own designs, receive feedback from their instructor, and share their designs with new friends.

    Parking: Entrance to the adjacent parking lot is on Camden St.  Students must bring scissors/clipper and lunch. Morning snacks, coffee, iced tea, and water will be provided. Students will receive a kit containing pin holder, container & other design aids at the first class

     Line materials, foliage and flowers are supplied for the first three classes.

    All lectures are open to the public for stated fee. Only members of a garden club belonging to NGC, Inc. are eligible to receive credit toward Nationally Accredited Judges' Certification. Students taking the Course for credit must attend all lecture presentations throughout the full Symposium. Seats closest to the front are reserved for students taking for credit & assigned by earliest paid registration received.

    Students must bring THE HANDBOOK FOR FLOWER SHOWS, 2017 Edition - a clipboard - pencils (mechanical preferred) and notepaper.

    A day of education for the public. Master Gardeners are welcome. Guest speakers are the local county UF/IFAS Extension Horticulture Agents who will share recommendations for gardening in Northeast Florida and what we can do to protect our plants, wildlife, land and water. Benefits of joining the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs will be discussed. Attendees will be given an opportunity to become members of their local Garden Clubs.

    Each attendee is asked to bring their own brown bag lunch.

    THIS IS GOING TO BE A SMALL STANDARD FLOWER SHOW TO HELP THE MEMBERS GET BACK TO SHOWING DESIGNS AND HORTICULTURE. IT WILL BE A LIGHT HEARTED TAKE ON THE COVID SITUATION OF TODAY. WHILE MANY LOST THEIR LIVES WITH COVID, WE WILL BE SHOWING A LIGHTER VERSION OF IT.

    A BRUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE JUDGES AT ONE OF OUR MEMBER'S HOMES. THE SHOW WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE TO THE PUBLIC AND FREE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT OUR BEAUTIFUL CLUBHOUSE.

Dates of classes:Jan 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb 2, 9 16, 23 and Mar 2, 16. The last class is a make up day if an earlier class is missed.

    There is ample parking, there will be signs outside to direct you to the classroom.  Students must bring scissors/clipper and lunch. Morning snacks, coffee, iced tea, and water will be provided. Students will receive a kit containing basic floral supplies at the first class.     Advanced Floral Design Study is a series of three units in advanced floral design that will take students

    to the next level of Floral Design. The lectures and demonstrations concentrate on the knowledge and

    mechanics needed to create unique and award winning Creative Floral designs.
